When we were contracted to provide construction management services for the developer-owned building of the Florida Department of Revenue and Department of Children and Families, we understood that this was a sensitive and important job. The building was in need of significant interior renovations to provide the right environment for state employees and the visiting public. 95% of the office is for administrative offices, while 5% is comprised of reception areas for citizens who come to receive services from the state of Florida.
A portion of the project, which was occupied by the Florida Department of Children & Families, was a renovation of the existing office space. The Florida Department of Revenue portion was a complete gut, which we fully redesigned and rebuilt. We relocated walls; removed and added bathrooms; and installed all-new carpeting, cubicles and ceilings. In the end, the office was transformed to provide a welcoming, functional space for both employees and visitors.
